What does this really mean?


To provide our Services, we collect Personal Information about our Users. The Personal Information comes from you when you visit the website, when you contact us or use our treatment/therapy services. We only collect and store information we need to provide services or for legal or insurance purposes. We never share your personal information - ever.

When you conduct a transaction on our website, as part of the process, we collect personal information you provide such as your name, address and email address. Your personal information will be used for the specific reasons stated above only.


As part of your initial face-to-face consultation and any subsequent treatments you may also provide additional personal information such as: Name, Address, Phone number, Email, GP details, General Health Information, Information regarding conditions, symptoms and medications.


What does this really mean?
 

The secure online booking process will require you to provide some information about you (the client) and if you make a purchase also your purchase information.

To provide a treatment we will also require you to provide some health information. We will also require some basic contact information so we can stay in touch with you.

Why do we collect personal information?

Your privacy is important to us and your details are treated with the utmost confidentiality and respect. We collect personal information only to ensure the treatment is suitable for you and to tailor it appropriately.
 

No-one else will have access to your data and we will never sell or share your data with anyone except in the following circumstances: (i) In the unlikely event of a medical emergency, details of medication and relevant symptoms may be shared with medical professionals only where absolutely necessary;
(ii) To meet any legal obligations;


We collect such Non-personal and Personal Information for the following purposes:
1. To provide and operate our Services;

2. To provide you the ability to book a treatment and pay online;
3. To provide you with ongoing customer assistance, appointment reminders and technical support;
4. To be able to contact you with general or personalised service-related notices and promotional messages;
5. To create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred Non-personal Information, which we or our business partners may use to provide and improve my respective services for you;
6. To comply with all applicable laws and regulations
7. To provide insurance cover for your treatments.

We only use the Personal Information we collect about you to provide our services and to stay in touch with you. We also collect and use Personal Information in order to contact you and to
comply with the laws applicable to us.

How we use, store, share and disclose your personal information.

Our website is securely hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the secure online platform that allows us to have an online presence, allow online booking, sell products and services to you. Your electronic data will be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers in Ireland, Israel and USA behind a firewall using industry best practices.

My karentingley.co.uk email is securely hosted on the Google Gmail platform. Google provides me with the online platform that allows me to send and receive email communications. it is stored securely in our world-class data centres. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.


Your private information is either provided by you face-to-face and only held as paper files and stored securely at our premises or via an encrypted online form. Your file is stored for 15 years after the date of your last appointment after which time it is securely destroyed.


Our in person payment system (mobile, chip and pin) is provided by Square (squareup.com) and our online payment gateways are offered on our behalf  by Wix.com and used by us and our website both of which which adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers. What does this really mean?


Our electronic data storage providers are contractually committed to protect and secure your data on our behalf. Your medical information will be securely securely held in paper format in our premises or digitally encrypted format electronically.


We use state of the art payment systems provided by third party payment processing specialists such as Wix.com and Squareup.com You can ask us at any time if you have any questions.

How we communicate with our site visitors and customers.

From time-to-time we may contact you to notify you regarding your account, to confirm bookings, to provide payment receipts, to troubleshoot problems with your account, to answer any questions or resolve a dispute, to collect monies owed, to poll your opinions through surveys or questionnaires, to send updates or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce our Terms and Conditions, applicable national laws, and any agreement we may have with you.


For these purposes we may contact you via email, telephone, FaceBook Messenger, text messages, WhatsApp, other electronic messaging systems as discussed and agreed with you, you can update your preferences at any time.
